Software Freedom Day (SFD) is an annual worldwide celebration of Free Software. SFD is a public education effort with the aim of increasing awareness of Free Software and its virtues, and encouraging its use and giving back to the community by taking it to the streets and into our everyday lives. The purpose of Software Freedom Day is to raise awareness among the students, professionals, policy makers, and general public.

FOSSIndia is celebrating it in Mumbai at IIT-B. It's a free event, and everyone's invited!
