Roadshow Rage!

Interviews terrify me. Numerous thoughts sped through my mind as I sat before Suraj and Amey, evidently intimidated by Suraj's intense "I'm-judging-you" look as they both bombarded me with situational questions. Stuttering slightly, I replied with the first things that came to mind, heaved a sigh of relief when they said I was done and left, hoping for the best. Luckily enough, I was selected to be a part of the ACM Working Committee and before I knew it, we were already preparing ourselves for the initial events, with 'The Roadshow' being one of the prominent ones.

"Why aren't they here with the posters yet?!" I watched a tense Shreya pacing up and down the VIT Plaza, glancing impatiently at the entrance. It was just a few minutes before the commencement of the Roadshow. Flyers had been put up, announcements were made, brochures were ready and the committee members were all geared up to make the event a success.

A variety of people showed up at the counter. Some were absolutely keen on becoming a member and came with a thirst for knowledge, while some didn't have the remotest idea of what they were doing there. Some came with the enthusiasm of being a part of something big, while some were there to avoid running into a professor. But whoever spent even a little time at the counter, seemed convinced that they'd certainly benefit by being a part of ACM.

The event turned out to be a roaring success. At the end of the day, I realized that I'd learned so much in just that one event. I learned how to converse with and set my ideas across to people. I learned how to handle pressure and realized that working under it can actually be enjoyable. Because that is what ACM is about. It is about learning, growing and having fun, all at the same time.
